Don Moen – Latest Album ‘Hiding Place’

Don Moen - Album \'Hiding Place\'
Who is Don Moen?
Ask Don Moen what he does, and the answer might surprise you. He won’t say he’s a songwriter even though he’s written more than 100 songs. He won’t say he’s a worship leader even though he’s led worship on every continent but Antarctica and recorded numerous albums. He won’t say he’s a businessman or producer even though he has produced and directed hundreds of successful projects.
If you ask Don Moen why God put him on this planet, he’ll tell you, “To be an architect who designs products and events that help people experience God’s presence in a new and fresh way.” And in more than three decades of ministry, he’s had lots of opportunity to fulfill that purpose.
Don grew up in Minnesota before moving to Tulsa, Oklahoma, to attend Oral Roberts University. There, his musical gifts caught the eye of Terry Law, who asked Don to join his worship team, Living Sound, which ministered in communist countries throughout Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union. For 10 years, Don was responsible for much of the group’s arrangements and musical productions, and saw first-hand the power of praise and worship to open closed doors and hearts, and lead enslaved people into the presence of God.
In 1984, Integrity Music asked him to lead worship on one of the first Hosanna! Music albums, Give Thanks. The project became one of Integrity’s most popular recordings ever and a benchmark for the genre, achieving gold certification status and now nearing platinum certification.
Don eventually joined the staff of Integrity, and served as President of Integrity Music and executive vice president/creative director for Integrity Media. In these roles, he spoke into the production of hundreds of products including all of the CDs and worship resources produced by Integrity Label Group. As an artist in his own right, Don has sold over five million units.
His discography reflects his passion to create resources for the church that lead people into an honest and intimate relationship with the Lord. In 2002, his peers recognized that lifelong commitment and presented him with the Ray DeVries Church Ministry Award.
Don has also received a Dove Award for his work on the musical “God With Us” and has received multiple Dove Award nominations for his songs, CDs and choral resources.
In addition to his writing and recording, Don makes time to tour domestically and abroad and has performed with artists such as Chris Tomlin, Twila Paris, Sara Groves and Paul Baloche to name a few. He also has served as worship leader for past National Day of Prayer events and as a music industry spokesperson, having been featured on Fox News, NPR and in USA Today.
Don is as popular overseas as he is at home in the U.S. His travels for concerts and seminars have taken him to Ghana, South Africa, Singapore, the Philippines, South Korea, Brazil, Canada, Australia, Great Britain, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan, Guatemala, Honduras, and elsewhere.
Don resides in Mobile, Alabama, with his wife Laura and their five children. And, despite his many creative pursuits, family is his first priority. The man who leads thousands in worship is just as an ordinary husband and dad who loves serving as a short order cook at home and cheering at his children’s ball games.

Don’s Latest Album:-

Having led worship on 6 continents and selling over 5 million units around the globe, Don Moen has been witness to the global worship explosion happening amongst the Church today. His songs have continued to leave a lasting impact on churches and Christians all over the world, putting him on the forefront of this massive growth of worship.
Driven by a renewed desire to lead others to experience the presence of God, this talented songwriter seeks once again to take worshippers on a journey towards a deeper level of faith with our Heavenly Father. Hiding Place creates an atmosphere of true worship, allowing us to praise Him through song and feel His awesome power!

Fans upset after R. Kelly cancels Tolleson show

TOLLESON, AZ - Two days after it was abruptly canceled, concertgoers are still upset over what happened at a R. Kelly concert in Tolleson.
Jocelyn Rollins says she waited in the cold and rain for more than four hours to see R. Kelly perform on Saturday night. Around 8:30 p.m. though, Rollins says someone walked onstage and said the concert had been canceled.
"We all just sat and waited in anticipation. We got nothing," said Rollins
While Rollins immediately left after hearing the show was canceled, other people in attendance started throwing chairs and bottles at the stage.
In a Facebook post, R. Kelly apologized to fans and said that he didn't perform because he wasn't paid.
"They told me they had it but when I got here the money wasn't here. So it's nothing personal against my fans. This is business ya'll and I hope you understand," said Kelly.
Rollins and others said they paid hundreds of dollars for tickets to Saturday's show.
Money she hasn't gotten back.
"I want to know who is going to be responsible for refunding the money back. We didn't cancel, you guys canceled," said Rollins
According to SoulFestAZ. the show was put on in association with the Northwest Black History Committee.
Aubrey Morris, promoter of the festival, said Kelly's claims of not being paid are not true.
"Mr. Kelly got two advanced payments. One for $20,000 and another for $50,000," she said.
She also said that they reached an agreement with Kelly addressing his concerns about the stage.
In a statement on their Facebook page SoulFestAZ says:
Before even attempting to explain the reasons leading to the unfortunate failure of the R. Kelly event, we would like to sincerely apologize. The UNTRUE rumors surrounding the event and expressed by the Artist will be addressed in a legal setting. There is no question that everyone requesting a refund WILL receive one, and we are working diligently to make this happen as quickly as possible. If you did not leave your information with us at the event, please send a direct message here or email us at soulfestaz@gmail.com. Your patience is greatly appreciated, and we just ask that you give us a chance to honor our word and your requests.
Kelly said in the video that he would be happy to return to Arizona

Celine Dion Andrea Bocelli The Prayer

Keep Memory Alive

Las Vegas will see Celine Dion ahead of her headliner return to Caesars Palace on Aug. 27 when she reunites with Italian opera superstar Andrea Bocelli at this year’s 19th Annual Power of Love gala for Keep Memory Alive at MGM Grand Garden Arena on June 13.
I’ve learned exclusively that Celine and husband Rene Angelil have accepted an invitation to be special guests of Larry Ruvo and the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health for a reunion with Andrea.
“They are there to support the ‘most worthwhile cause’ in the treatment and research of Alzheimer’s and other brain-related diseases,” said Larry.
It will be the couple’s first public appearance together in Las Vegas since Celine canceled a string of Las Vegas and Asia concerts last fall — and also postponed her return to the Colosseum at Caesars until this August, announcing that she wanted to take care of her husband as he battled throat cancer.
I’m told that he is feeling stronger, happier and slowly getting better. No word yet if Celine and Andrea will team up as they did for the emotional partnership on “The Prayer” they performed at the Great Lawn of New York’s Central Park.
Here’s a YouTube video of their September 2011 duet of “The Prayer.”
Andrea has said in previous interviews: “When I speak of the most special duet in the field of pop, I immediately think of Celine, a great professional and a great person who is very simple and who loves her job.
“The stage is a magical place. One can experience something very intimate: the compelling relationship and harmony between two artists when they come together in music.”
Celine once introduced Andrea saying: “I heard someone say that if God had a singing voice, he would sound a lot like Andrea Bocelli.”
The star-studded lineup continues to grow with Martina McBride and 2014 Power of Love honoree Gloria Estefan also making appearances at the gala.
Andrea and Veronica Bocelli have experienced first-hand the effects of Alzheimer’s, as Veronica’s grandfather, Rolando, has battled the disease for more than 12 years. They hope to shed light and raise funds for the disease, and all neurodegenerative brain disorders, during the one-night-only spectacular.
A recipient of seven World Music Awards and six Classic Brit Awards and with more than 80 million albums sold worldwide, Andrea has achieved global accolades as a prolific singer-songwriter and Italian tenor.
In 2012, Andrea launched the Andrea Bocelli Foundation to fight poverty and further medical research and was honored in 2014 with the Latin Billboard Award for Lifetime Achievement. Billboard has recognized him as one of the bestselling singers in history.
This year’s dinner before the concert will be in the hands of celebrity chefs Wolfgang Puck and Giada de Laurentiis. Andrea will be there with his wife, Veronica. He will perform his concert at the Power of Love gala and be honored by Larry and Camille, who are celebrating their 25th anniversary this week.
The gala is an annual celebration created to raise money for the Lou Ruvo Center’s programs and services. Table seating and individual tickets start at $1,500 and increase to a platinum table of $100,000. Full details: KeepMemoryAlive.org.

List of largest church buildings in the world

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Seville Cathedral, the third largest church building in the world and the largest cathedral.
This article lists the largest church buildings in the world as measured by various criteria.

Contents

Scope

The term church is open to interpretation and debate. In this article, it means any building that was built for the primary purpose of Christian worship, for any recognised denomination of Christianity. This includes every cathedral (the seat of a bishop), basilica, and other type of church. It does not include temples of other religions, such as mosques, synagogues, and so on. It does include at least one building, Hagia Sophia, that was built as a church and later became a mosque (it is now a museum).

Measurements

Whilst claims are made about the relative size of churches many of these claims are not easily substantiated. "Largest" is at best a vague term, which is often not qualified by claimants. Accepted measures of largeness could include area, volume, length, width, height, and/or capacity, although the last is far more subjective. It is important to note therefore that churches may claim to be "the largest" based on only one of these measurements; and thus that there may be several churches that have equal claim to be "the largest church". Since there is no official body governing these claims, there is no generally accepted criterion for being "the largest church".
The list below attempts to rank churches by different (more-or-less) objective criteria, and thus may generate different orders depending on the measure used. Churches for which claims are made but dimensions cannot be found are not included on the below lists.
For length, width and height, there is usually a definitive statistic for each church, which can easily be compared. However, for area and volume, the situation is often more complex. It is often possible to find multiple values quoted for the area/volume of a church in references. Many values appear to be estimates or approximations (especially for volume), or may have been calculated by multiplying lengths, widths and heights. In the latter case, the exact dimensions used (internal vs. external, etc.) may give very different figures. Therefore, although area and volume are the most common 'largeness' measures, they are also apt to be the least reliable. This should be borne in mind when comparing church sizes.

3D Creation Film Gaining Huge Support From Christian Community, Raises Over 80K in Five Days

3D Creation Film Gaining Huge Support From Christian Community, Raises Over 80K in Five Days

PENSACOLA, Fla - (Christian News Service) Producers of the Christian film Genesis 3D declare that since announcing the movie's production just five days ago, Christians are showing their overwhelming support. With more than half of their $150,000 goal raised in less than a week of a 43 day campaign, the films donation effort through the giving platform, Crowdfunding, is proving to be a success.
"Christians are calling for the truth to be presented even more boldly in our world today," said Eric Hovind, president of Creation Today and executive producer of Genesis 3D. "We have the Gospel and we have the truth. The Gospel starts in the beginning, in Genesis and now let's proclaim it as boldly as we can. I think a 3D film is a pretty bold statement."

For the very first time, Genesis 3D audiences will experience the six days of creation in High Definition Stereoscopic 3D. Using state of the art Computer Generated Imagery with the highest quality models, textures, animations and special effects, Genesis 3D presents viewers with an educational and entertaining extravaganza.

But not everyone is excited about the film's success.

"I'm not at all surprised at this kind of support," said David Silverman, president of American Atheists. "As we have seen in nearly every religion in world history, indoctrinated victims of religion will do anything, including pay large sums of money, to have their antiquated beliefs of immortality validated. Flashy movies may make Christians feel like there is validity to the myth that they are immortal, covering up the known and proven truth with special effects."

Paul Taylor, director of development of Creation Today, says Silverman's conclusions are flawed.
"Why should Silverman even worry about 'flashy movies?" Taylor asked. "What is his definition of a lie in a purposeless world? If we really were making things up and trying to persuade people of 'our myths', and at the same time undermining those who have different opinions, Silverman should applaud that as aform of survival of the fittest."

Taylor continues stating "Silverman does not believe in absolute truth, so he has no logical basis on which to define something as a 'flashy lie.'"

Producers of the film say the culture's decline into biblical illiteracy, moral decay, and rampant anti-theism has promptedChristian filmmakers to want to see God's truth displayed in an excellent way. A cutting-edge filmcanbe effective to call the culture back to an appreciation of God and the authority of HisWord. The "Genesis 3D" team desires that lives be changed with the creation message and the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Christians are invited to get behind the film financially in order to finish production and then to market and distribute "Genesis 3D"in theaters. They can do so through an Indiegogo Crowdfunding campaign, which has just begun.

Selena Gomez Wouldn't Take Back Relationship With Justin Bieber in a Million Years

New year, new love?
Selena Gomez strips down literally and emotionally for V magazine. In the new issue, the 22-year-old singer opens up about everything she learned from the Justin Bieber era and what lies ahead.

"I think the next time [I have a boyfriend] will be much different," she told her former Spring Breakers co-star James Franco who played reporter for the day. "That's a growing up kind of thing. I was 18 years old, and it was my first love. The older I get, I'm guarding certain things more."
Gomez added she "definitely" isn't looking to get into a new relationship anytime soon. (Guess that shines a light on her current relationship with music producer/DJ Zedd?)
"It was really weird but it was incredible," she continued of her time with Justin. "I would never take it back in a million years. You live and you learn, you know?"
Although Selena doesn't specifically reference the Biebs, it's pretty clear who she is talking about as she was 18 when the two entered into their high-profile and much-talked about relationship.
"When you're young and you're being told so many different things... it almost felt like all we had was each other, like the world was against us, in a way," she said. “Super stoked that I’ve got some bumps on me, some scars, some bruises. I actually love that… It was great to experience really beautiful things, and then, you know, have the growing pains, in every possible manner, in every relationship.”
Their on-again, off-again relationship paired with growing up in the public eye led to depression and anxiety for the Disney alum.
"There was so much going on… You can't help but have some troubles here and there. I don't think it's a smooth process for anyone, and it definitely wasn't for me," she admitted. "There were a few months where I was a little depressed, where I wouldn't leave [my home] as much… I think I drove myself crazy for a little bit. It was just easier to say, ‘Hey, do you mind running to the grocery store and picking some stuff up? I don't want to get photographed.'"
In January 2014, Selena completed a secret stint in rehab, although a rep for the star shot down rumors it was for substance abuse. But one year later, Selena sees nothing but sunny skies ahead.
"I think this year is going to be incredible. I feel the best I've ever felt in my life," she told the mag. "I don't read anything about me anymore at all. I don't spend my time tiptoeing around certain things, because the things I'm going to do aren't bad," she shared. "I'll be 23 soon and I could go to a bar or go to the movies. I could do what I like."
So… is Zedd what she likes? Guess we'll wait and see.

I used to have a subscription, but it ended about a year ago. I'm subscribing again because the magazine has great writers, is fun, and has its pulse on the culture of society.

Pop culture can be a dirty word for those who consider themselves smart and highbrow, usually pseudo-intellects. Entertainment Weekly is the perfect companion for those who love pop culture, but don't fancy the likes of People, US Weekly or In Touch. The articles are witty and intelligent, even if you don't always agree with their critics; the stories and coverage are timely; and ultimately, it's just plain entertaining! You even learn a few big SAT words while you're at it.

I expect this magazine every Friday, and I wait for it. I love reading the reviews for all areas of entertainment including books, video games and technology. I save the preview issues (fall tv, summer movies, oscar favs) to look back at expectations. I have a 1995 issue that previewed a little show call ER, they weren't sure how it would do.

Entertainment Weekly Magazine Subscription Video Review

Video Transcript
Hi. I’m Patricia Lopez, here at Magazines.com to tell you a little about Entertainment Weekly Magazine. Entertainment Weekly is an excellent resource for all that’s hot in pop culture. From music and movies to television and books, Entertainment Weekly covers it all. One of my favorite things about Entertainment Weekly is their Must List, which is a weekly list of the top ten things that they love in entertainment. It helps me find new movies, TV shows, DVDs, CDs, and books that I might have otherwise overlooked.

As a movie buff, my absolute favorite issues of Entertainment Weekly are their Summer and Fall movie preview issues. I love to see their sneak peaks, feature articles, and reviews about upcoming blockbusters. Their Critical Mass chart lets me easily scan the grades assigned by various critics to new movie releases, so I know which flicks are worth seeing over the weekend. The Box Office Chart is also fun to see where my favorite movies are stacking up.

One section that always makes me laugh is the TV sound bites, which highlights some of the funniest and most unusual quotes from the week in television. Their What To Watch guide also gives a great overview of some of the upcoming highlights on various shows. And their weekly ratings chart lets me know if my favorite shows are in the top 25. In addition to movie and TV news, Entertainment Weekly also devotes a couple pages to music and book reviews. They cover everything from bestsellers to some of the more unusual releases.

While there are other magazines out there covering movies, television, and music nobody else covers it all like Entertainment Weekly does in one magazine. It’s a one-stop source for everything in pop culture. And it really is a fun read, right up to the very last page, which is called The Bullseye. The Bullseye is a handy recap of all the hits and misses from the week in pop culture news.

An Entertainment Weekly subscription is perfect for anyone who loves music, movies, television, and books. And with the current subscription offers at Magazines.com it’s a great way to keep up-to-date with everything going on in the world of entertainment.
