In Summary
PRAISES. David, in the Bible is said to have built a
temple of praise for God. This is not any different from the praise
concert at Rubaga Miracle Centre Cathedral, writes Faiswal Kasirye
At 8pm, Sinach accompanied by her band, started
with some thrilling hits such as I Know Who I Am; it looked like the
congregation’s dance mode had been activated. Jessica Kayanja took to
the stage, pulling rare dance moves that got her husband, Robert Kayanja
and pastor Joe Egbo, Sinach’s husband; Pastor Chris Oyakhilome (Christ
Embassy church) ‘showering’ her with money.
Sinach sung Born To Reign, I Worship You and I
Live To Praise Your Name. Her praise and worship songs are sung by
church choirs world over, including Uganda as seen when she performed
I’m Blessed and You Make My Life So Beautiful, where she was joined by
some members of the church choir.
That was the climax of the highly anticipated show, after three hours of great performance.
All proceeds from the show went towards the Africa Aid Project, an initiative of Pastor Kayanja that is aimed at helping the needy.

Buckets, consisting items such as soap, sugar,
milk powder and flour, among other essentials, are distributed to
different communities in Uganda. It is the efforts of the Afri Aid
Project that saw food worth millions of money delivered to South Sudan
and received by their President Salva Kiir.
“I refuse to enjoy my life while people around us
are suffering,” said Kayanja, adding: “Hunger knows no religion, tribe
or status.”
Born Osinachi Kalu, Sinach is a gospel singer and
songwriter with over 200 songs to her name. She is married to pastor Joe
Egbo at Christ Embassy Church in Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria in 2014.
The event ended at about 11pm with a performance from American gospel singer Anthony Faulkner singing I Trust You.
